On the Farm

Hello world! It has been a while since we've updated, but everything is going quite well. We've settled into our roles as Small Farm Unit apprentices at the Center for Environmental Farming Systems in Goldsboro, NC. Every day is packed with valuable education and exciting new experiences. Here are some pictures from the farm:

Cows in the buttercups, across the road from the farm.

The names of all of our cows are cow-related puns.
This is Frau Cow trying to scratch an itch.
(left to right) Cowpea, Cacao, and Chow Cow in their pasture.

Cowpea, the Jersey, is the pretty one.

Our high tunnel, full of lettuce and peppers.

Spying on Christy through the rye.

Rye seedhead.

Baby goats keeping warm in their hutch.

The queen, known as Goatee-girl.

Getting some tasty hay.

Flowering paulownia trees.
The flowers smell like sweet coffee and the wood
is used to make furniture and musical instruments.
